Opening prayer

therese2

St. Therese, beloved friend, we come before you in our need. We believe that you listen to us and approach God for and with us. Please accept these petitions, hopes, needs, and dreams I list below. Please present them to our Loving Father so that God may do what is best for us, for our loved ones, and for the fulfillment of God's Kingdom. We ask you, dear friend, with the bold confidence and loving surrender you taught us. We make this prayerful petition in the name of Jesus and through the power of His Spirit.

St. Therese hears our requests and intercedes with God on our behalf. She showers us with roses every day, and we continue to be blessed and have prayers answered because of the intercession of our "little flower". St. Therese's own desire was to "make God known and Loved until the consummation of the ages". By sharing your words of thanks, you too, are fulfilling St. Therese's own mission. What a wonderful way to spread the word of God and St. Therese to the world!

“Please, pray for my cousin,Luke. He is 2 1/2 years old.He was born with aqueductal stenosis, causing fluid on the brain. And tracheoesophageal fistula, his esophagus not connected to his stomach.I have his family's permission to talk about him & ask for prayers. He has had more than 15 surgeries.Although he was not expected to have a normal life,he has been very active.Sweet & funny. And often played normally. In the recent few weeks,he has had to return to Riley Children's Hospital for further surgery & is still there & in a great deal of pain. His is family is catholic.Although I am not,I have often prayed to St.Therese & lit candles in many churches on my travels.I also, placed a card of St.Therese in my mother's coffin at her funeral in 2001.My mother,Mary Jane, was not catholic but she was very religious in a very positive way,as was my Daddy,Ashburn, was also, very religious & a lay minister.Their strong faith left a very strong impression on me.I am very thankful for that.He died in 1959,in a so-called freak car accident, single car,on a business trip.My mother joined the Episcopal church in her 60's & trained to be a reader & server,& continued until her hospitalization 3 years before her death at age 93.I believe in prayer very much & has gotten me through many difficult times.Which I am in the most challenging time of my life now. So please, include Luke's brother,James, age 4,parents Katy & Josh,& grandparents,Jim & Mary Kay.Also,my adult children Shalom,Shantelle,&Kahlil James. And my sister Jane Anne who converted to catholocism & was a nun for a few years. Her faith is also very strong. Please, also include my young friends, who are catholic,Amber & Ryan & their children Autumn & Chance. She is suffering from seizures her husband has PTSD from 14 years in Iraq. Also,my dear friend Sophia, who is catholic.I included all these in the Valentine's Novena & I thank you.You are all a Blessing. My name is Mary Ashburn.I am 69.My health is very challenged although I seem to have reversed my cancers.I am a breast cancer survivor for 25 years w/no treatment, except a lumpectomy in 1990.But,there other things for whom I have yet to find doctors yet to help me.But,I never give up.Also,I lost my home & everything & my husband of 23 years chose to divorce me at the same time, with no spousal support(he also losst his job at the same time. The divorce has not occured yet. But,we are not together.Since he has our son,we have remained friendly.I am a miracle.I pray that I can work & create a life of self-sufficiency & share my gifts & prosper others as I am prospered.I know God's Grace is always present.I am always forgiving & grateful.I appreciate your prayers & your Loving service & you are also in my prayers.God Blesses us all.Thank you.”
