Opening Prayer

Jesus, You are the seed planted within us – the Word spoken among us! All goodness comes from You, despite how highly we prize our efforts. We are nothing without You. Give us patience when our need for immediate gratification of dreams is out of control. Teach us to reflect and write down the vision of Your image imprinted on our souls. Give us the wisdom to trust the mustard seed, as small and as insignificant as it seems. You are powerful in subtle and secret ways, God of life. Give us the courage to know that our emptiness and weakness are the soil where Your Word takes root and Your garden blossoms.
