Opening Prayer

Father, the intimate embrace of Your wisdom stirs my heart and inflames my soul. You have restlessly and relentlessly chased me around the labyrinth of my life and through the interior castle of my soul. You overwhelm me with the inexhaustible treasure of your loving presence and intimate embrace. You are almost too close, Lord. I get scared sometimes! Your Holy Spirit dwells within and burns like fire. You make me Your son and daughter. You have freed me from darkness to explore Your creation of light. You are more powerful than all my weakness. You pray within me, in words beyond my understanding–yet you speak the deepest yearnings of my heart. You know me more than I know myself!
