2017 St. Therese Feast Day Celebration

Come celebrate the 120th Feast Day of St. Therese on October 2, 2017!

Our celebration will begin with Mass at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Darien, Illinois and continue at the National Shrine Museum of St. Therese after Mass.  Transportation will be provided from the parish to the National Shrine Museum and the Gift Shop.

This year, we will have a second Mass celebration at 7:00 PM in the National Shrine Museum Chapel.

Spring: Walk with Jesus - Lenten Stations of the Cross

Reflect on Jesus’s death and glorious resurrection with our family of faith during the Lenten Season. Walk the Stations of the Cross in the Meditation Garden at the Carmelite Campus in Darien. After your walk with Jesus, join us for Mass.  

This event occurs on the Friday before Palm Sunday each year.

Summer: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast Day

Celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel with a talk on Our Lady of Mount Carmel and her influence on Carmelite spirituality, followed by a prayerful procession of her statue around the Meditation Garden and Mass.  

This event occurs either on the Friday preceding or following July 19.

Fall: St. Therese of Lisieux Feast Day

Join the celebration of our Little Flower’s Feast Day with Rose blessings, Mass, veneration of St. Therese’s Relics, and a short talk with lunch available for purchase.  

This event occurs on October 1 in Darien, IL.

Winter: Christmas at the Crib

Gather your family at the manger for a heartwarming and faith-filled celebration. Enjoy cookies and cocoa, learn about St. Therese’s Christmas conversion, hear the story of Jesus’ birth and end with the celebration of Mass.

This event occurs in early to mid-December.
