Opening Prayer

Your Wisdom is subtle and powerful. She sees and expects the big picture and the new dawn. She works with hope. Wisdom is Your gentle Spirit among us, Holy God! She inspirits us to expect more, here and hereafter. Empower us not to be like the foolish virgins who mean well but who fall asleep, lose heart and are not ready. Save us from the stupidity which tries to use only our own resources. Keep us vigilant in hope, expecting to see You, our Beloved, around every corner, and walking through every moment of our life’s journey.
