Opening Prayer
Eternal God, be our shield of hope! You sometimes take a long time in fulfilling your promises. I understand Abram’s frustration, because that is what happens between You and me sometimes! Empower me to believe in You as the Faithful God! I’m awed as I witnessed Your flaming promise that You would rather be cut in two than break Your Word. Rekindle my hope in the terrifying darkness of my sterility. As You made Abram fruitful, inSpirit me to become more fruitful in the ways in Your Kingdom. I know that You will not lose faith in me and cut me down, but give me what I need to properly blossom and be fruitful.
