Opening Prayer

Please be patient with us, Jesus. I don’t know why we continue to need new signs and wonders. Our faith is shallow and we forget so easily. I’m sorry for the many times I wake up and ask “what are you going to do for me today?” My grateful heart wants more. I must weary you. You have given me your life, God’s only Son. Your goodness and generosity are beyond my imagination. Why am I so dumb? So needy? Thank you for being patient with me, Jesus, and for not giving up on me, even though my self-centeredness must stretch your eternal love.
