Opening Prayer
Jesus, through my life experience, you have revealed to me my brokenness, weakness and powerlessness. Thank you for being the wisdom that teaches me to embrace the fragile, broken, and dysfunctional sides of me – the wisdom which humbles my arrogance, bitterness, and jealousy – the wisdom which creates God’s compassion and peace in the way I view others and myself. Exorcise from me demons of power and violence which convulse, confuse and contort the human experience with vile behaviors and dividing judgments which demean and destroy. Humble, empower and heal me with the touch of your gentle wisdom, Jesus, Compassion of God.
