Opening Prayer

God beyond and God within, You speak so tenderly, You speak so powerfully! Your voice plows through the hills and valleys of life to clear a straight path to You. We need clear, focused paths, because we get lost in the confusion and multiple expectations of our lives. Gather us on Your shoulders like young, lost lambs. We will see better and be comforted by your embracing arms and strong shoulders. Run with us along straight paths to the pastures of your new heaven and earth. InSpirit us with humility to know that it is You Who are carrying us, and to hear Your message in the prophets of our times. Teach us patience as You run, plow and speak through our human experience, creating the fullness of day!
