Opening Prayer

Jesus, you are the light and sparkle of the new wine. In you we are innocent before God and freed from sediment and darkness. Your Spirit ferments the wine of Your reign. Because you are creating a sparkling vintage, you ask us to be new wineskins. May the newness be fermented by the ancient values and enriched by the mysteries flowing from your heart. Help us to embrace and carry your mystery with reverence and respect, celebrating it with others. Inspire us to know when to fast and when to feast. Judge when it is time to tap the wine and inebriate us with your love.
