Opening Prayer

Why would we deny Your Son, O God, our Father? In denying Him, we are denying His revelation of Your divine adoption of us as Your children, as Your dwelling place and as the builders of Your reign here on earth. Why are we so afraid of our divine destiny? The burden of Your expectations is high. Keep us faithful to the truth of the Incarnation. As we begin another year, save us from false expectations which blind us. Give us the clarity and straight vision of John the Baptist who humbly knows the truth of who we are and what we are not! The temptations to drama, power, privilege, plenty and prestige are legion. Reconnect us deeply with Your Voice and Truth within. St. Therese, as we celebrate your birthday in 1873, keep us faithful to your “Little Way” so that the child of wonder in us seeks and listens to God everywhere.

Happy Birthday, St. Therese.  In 1873, God blessed the Martin family and us with your life and journey on earth.
