Opening Prayer
Abba, Father, thank You for not leaving us to our own resources. Your Word has been spoken with power. Your creative Spirit soaks my soul and permeates the human experience. Your Kingdom will come, but You seem to put the pace and progress in our hands and hearts. You really do trust us with Your Word! InSpirit us with honesty and simplicity. Teach us not to bore You with endless, repetitious words, so that we don’t have to listen to You. Give us the bread we need to be Your children today. Please treat us better than the way we treat each other. I am frightened at the thought that You will forgive and treat me the way I forgive and treat others. Be bigger and better than me, Holy God and Forgiving Father.
