Opening Prayer
Wondrous God, the Queen of Sheba was inspired by the way You worked in the life of Solomon and Your people. The wisdom and prosperity You blessed them with moved her to acknowledge You as God. Give us that same sensitivity to the wonderful ways You work in our lives. Help us discern what lurks inside the darkness of our hearts. Teach us not to blame outside forces or others, but rather to take responsibility for the evil we create which violates the dignity of any of your children and the justice of your reign.
May your wisdom and spirit make us more sensitive to the refining and purifying power of Your presence within us and your healing power among us.
