Opening Prayer

Lord, we hear the echoes of “how beautiful are the feet of those who announce good news,” but sometimes we are not sure where we are walking and what we are wading through. Give us the enthusiasm of Andrew and Peter, who dropped their nets to follow you. Let our love for you be contagious and not hidden. We are willing to pay the price and be stretched for your reign. Fill us with the good news of God’s unconditional, uplifting love. Inspire us to fish for those people swimming in the seas of life. It is hard to let go enough to be free to follow you – but your voice and call has an alluring quality. Yes, I want to follow you, Lord, and fish in new seas.
