St. Therese, beloved friend, we come before you in our need. We believe that you listen to us and approach God for and with us. Please accept these petitions, hopes, needs, and dreams I list below. O my Jesus, help us to see ourselves as we truly are, in great need of You. Help us to not only pick up our cross but to be nailed upon it, completely committed to the will of God. Help us to submit ourselves to Your commandments and not to take Your grace or sacrifice as though it were a cheap token for what we want. Help us to understand how You redeemed us and the unimaginable high cost that was paid for us. Help us to understand. We are so blinded by what we want in life. We live as a two year old, demanding that is mine!
Help us Lord Jesus to move closer to Your heart and hear Your heat beat. Hold our heads to Your chest till our heart beats in the rhythm of Yours and all of our desires are to do the Father's will, to be His hands and feet in the earth. Give us hearts to care for the poor and needy, the widow and the orphan, the sick and the dying, the prisoner and the addicted. Help us see the human soul made in the image of God. Help us serve them as if they were Christ. Help us to meet You there, in the needs our neighbor, friends, family or stranger.
