Prayer Intentions

St. Thérèse hears our requests and intercedes with God on our behalf. She showers us with roses every day, and we continue to be blessed and have prayers answered because of the intercession of our “little flower.”

Opening Prayer

St. Thérèse, beloved friend, we come before you in our need. We believe that you listen to us and approach God for and with us. Please accept these petitions, hopes, needs, and dreams I list below. Please present them to our Loving Father so that God may do what is best for us, for our loved ones, and for the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom. We ask you, dear friend, with the bold confidence and loving surrender you taught us. We make these prayerful petitions in the name of Jesus and through the power of His Spirit.

Back in 2017:

At that same familiar location—the U.S. Consulate General at 4 Le Duan, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City—my older sister passed her student visa interview, and the rest of the family obtained tourist visas; subsequently, she began her studies at Stanford University in the San Francisco area.

On July 1, 2026, my cousin sent a message announcing that they had passed the high school graduation exam.

Covering the 12-year period from 2014 to 2026:

The hard work my cousin put into their 12 years of schooling in Vietnam finally bore sweet, fresh fruit.

After the Grade 12 graduation results were announced, my cousin received their Vietnamese high school diploma; in California, the date was July 14, 2026. Here is the timeline of my cousin's fortunate events in 2026:

1. In February—coinciding with the 2026 Lunar New Year—my cousin was accepted into the Pharmacy program at the University at Buffalo (UB) in New York State.

2. On April 6, 2026—following Easter—my cousin in Vietnam successfully passed their student visa interview at the U.S. Consulate General (4 Le Duan, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City); the visa arrived at their home one week later.

Second Intention: For Smooth Flights and Safe Landing

Dear Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, please watch over and grant every blessing to my cousin and my friend traveling on Korean Air and Delta Air Lines across a 16,250 km (~10,074 mile) journey departing on August 16, 2026:

Leg 1: Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) Seoul

(ICN): 3,566 km (~2,237 miles)

Leg 2: Seoul (ICN) Atlanta (ATL): 11,561 km (~7,140 miles)

Leg 3: Atlanta (ATL) Buffalo (BUF): 1,123 km (~697 miles)

First Intention: For Peace, Guidance, and Safe Travels
Dear Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, please watch over and protect two children — my cousin and my friend — on their long journey from Vietnam (SGN) to Buffalo (BUF) on August 16, 2026. Please ask the Lord to enlighten the CBP immigration officers at Atlanta Airport so that both may enter the United States smoothly, with no lost luggage and all flights on time. – [ ] Please pray for Kevin and Rose to be healthy and safe. Watch over and protect us. Help Kevin find relief from his arthritis back pain. Please pray that Rose can maintain & control her AFib, reverse the pulmonary diagnosis and restore her health especially the urinary tract, kidney, stomach, immunity issues & ankle pain.
