Opening Prayer

Intimate God, You have embraced us beyond our wildest dreams. You are closer to us than we expect. You have flooded us with the Spirit of Jesus and planted us within Your Christ. In Him, You have transformed us into Your daughters and sons, with an intimacy that allows us to call You, Abba, “Dad”! As Jesus prayed all night, listening to You, gift us with the ability to truly pray. Calm and quiet us that we can listen to Your voice and presence within us, that we might make good choices this day. Teach us to listen to You in the intimacy of our hearts and spirits. Because of Your great love and initiative, we are in Christ and He is in You. You are in Christ and He dwells within us. Help us not to distance You, Intimate God of Love.
