Opening Prayer

Compassionate Jesus, you have raised up everything and you transform us. By your presence within and among us, continue to change everything within and around us which limits us. Enlighten the parts of us which are not of your kingdom and do not reflect the law of your Beatitudes. Jesus, Compassion of God, help us to have your heart that we may walk with integrity and compassion with those who are fragile, forgotten and forsaken. InSpirit us that we might be your living Body and presence today. Root out the culture of death within and around us, that we might be the compassion of our life-giving God for those who need your touch and embrace.
