Opening Prayer
Generous God, thank you for having Paul remind us that You have made us Your family, the living Body of your Anointed, the fleshy Tabernacle of Your presence. You are so close and present within and around us! Be with Your Church today – we are being torn apart by peoples’ selfish expectations. Just as people wanted Jesus to fulfill their expectations and ridiculed him for their unmet expectations, so too His holy Body today is being ridiculed because of unmet, selfish expectations. Some believe we must move backward. Some believe you are not moving us forward fast enough. Teach us to trust Your generous Wisdom and the Spirit of Jesus within and among us.
