Opening Prayer

Guardian Shield, our God, like ancient wisdom, protect us from falsehood, especially self- deception, which is so devious. We are so facile with words. We are so smooth with the good look and external appearance of beauty and control that we become disconnected from our own truth. Give us integrity and simplicity that we might be complete and whole. Duplicity is so heavy and shields us from so little. Humble us to travel lightly, without the emotional, psychic and material baggage, which we grasp as treasure but which only slows and weighs us down. Empower us to be instruments of your freeing good news. Lighten us to know you and walk with you!
