Opening Prayer

God Who integrates and unites, reconnect us again with You and each other. You have already ripped down the veil of the Temple which separated us. Stop us from creating new dividing veils, attitudes and boundaries. Help us not to hide behind weak and sick excuses so that we don’t hear your invitations to come to Your banquet. When we do come, please overlook the clothing of improper hearts. You are the rich feast we hunger for, even as we munch on everything else. InSpirit us to believe that You are the food and abundance we hunger for. Seat us at Your table and feed us with Your nourishment, celebration and challenge. We know that Your table is on the top of the mountain – sweep us up and invite us in again. We are trying, Lord, and will try not to be so fussy about who else You invite and we sit with.
