Opening Prayer
Gentle Jesus, You are the child of God. Give us hearts so deep in love that we chew and swallow even suffering and disappointment because it is a meal you give us. Give us the wonder of children who always taste honey, even in bitter times. Restore the simplicity of our souls in this complex and cynical time. Keep us faithful to Jesus and His love of children, because of their innocence, simplicity, trust, and sense of wonder. Pursue us down the labyrinth of our restless hearts and again make us children of God who love with open arms, trust with absolute faith, and smile with adoring wonder.
