Opening Prayer

God of Healing and Wholeness, Raphael is Your healing presence.  Like Tobiah and his family in this story, we wrestle with being faithful to ancient traditions and customs, as well as stepping over historic hurts which have hardened our hearts and made them cynical.  Sometimes, we need your healing presence in our marital and family relationships, and among friends.  Recommit us again to the noble sacrament of marriage as a reflection of the wonderful way You love us.  Your law demands that we love You and one another wholeheartedly.  We need Your healing presence, Lord, physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and relationally.  Send your Raphael Angel to touch and accompany us so that we are as total in our love for You and one another as You are toward us.
