Opening Prayer

You are a family of Persons, Holy God! Family life and marriage is in trouble these days. Help husbands and wives to cherish and reverence each other, and not to simply focus on the darkness of incompleteness or unfilled expectations. Your day is coming. We need to continue to look and work for the dawn. Make us children of light, who endure through the darkness. Give us courage to use the gifts and talents you have loaned to us. Help us take risks. InSpirit us not to bury and protect, but rather to share and expand. Save me from the limiting darkness I enclose myself in. Save me from the darkness which does not invite Your day of light! Fill us with Your relating, creating and generous Life.
