Opening Prayer

Holy God of Love, You alone are God! You alone are our God, despite the pantheon of needs and hungers we seem to worship. InSpirit us with Your Divine Energy that we might love You enthusiastically and wholeheartedly. We know You are jealous for our affection. In Jesus, we have access to You. In his sacrifice, our sins, mediocrity, fear and divided hearts have been embraced by You and been forgiven and healed. Make us children of grace who respond to Your great love by the way we love You and one another. Save us from false worship and religious duplicity, which tries to love You without loving others and working for the justice of Your reign. Keep us close to You and Your Kingdom, Lord of Love!
