Opening Prayer

We are like Peter, Paul and John, Lord Jesus. We wonder where we fit into your plan. We question why your message causes confusion and misunderstanding. We want to be with you and yet sometimes we are scared. Please calm our secret fears. Empower us with your Spirit to be your witnesses. Transform our lives so that we live from the powerful light of your presence, rather than the darkness of our emptiness. The chains of fear, insecurity and what other people think bind us. Free us, Lord Jesus to celebrate your presence within and around us, even when our journeys take us to strange spaces and places. Thank you for continuing to walk with us in ways we don’t even understand.
