Opening Prayer

Do you shake your head in disbelief sometimes, Jesus, when those of us who should know you and have expected you, still are dumbfounded about what God did in you? Even in the frailty of our faith, you trust us to be messengers of your good news. You are reckless in your trust! We are ennobled by your trust! Give us the new confidence of the apostles, born of conviction, not of education. InSpirit us that our hearts are afire beyond what our minds can understand or squeeze. Help us never to be cowards, but to speak openly of the wonders we have experienced in your life-giving, risen presence.
