Opening Prayer

You are the God of goodness and light, Holy Lord.  And you expect nothing less from us.  Let your proverbs permeate our soul and drive the direction of our actions and attitudes.  Enliven us to know and believe that we are your leaven for goodness, mercy and justice in this world.  Ignite your light again in us so that the divine spark might shine, even in the darkest and cloudiest moments.  Make us light which warms, brightens and clarifies with a radiating generosity.  Enlighten us with humility and generosity about what you have given us, so that we reflect your goodness and light.
