Opening Prayer

God Who echoes throughout history, Your song is justice. Soon all people will gather in the choir, singing various parts and harmonizing differences in one rich melody, singing Your graciousness. We will stand on the rock of Your faithfulness toward us. Then we shall know the fullness of Your promise and the end of days. Teach us to live by your Beatitudes. Ground us on the solid ground of your teachings about justice, mercy, forgiveness and humility. You are our strength! We are so weak! Raise us up so that the choir of all your children may sing with full hearts and full stature to the glory of your saving presence within, among and beyond us. Come, Lord Jesus – teach us your song!
