Opening Prayer
I love the marvelous, generous and artistic way You create. I feel Your warm Breath as You are still creating us! You have handed everything over to us. Aren’t you being fool-hearted? Aren’t we sometimes destroying the very earth and universe You created for us? What trust! I’m awed that we are created in Your image. Help me to see the glimpse of You in every person I meet today – and when I look in the mirror of my soul. Teach me to rest, as You rested, so that I can enjoy all the blessings of Your creation. As we listen to the echoes of Your creative image within, help us to hear and follow the challenging message of Jesus to break through empty externals and get to the heart – Your Heart!
