Opening Prayer

Faithful God, please don’t say that we are hopeless! The initial words of Jeremiah are disheartening. Thank you for continuing to speak through him Your words of hope and restoration. Thank you for never giving up on us. Your reign is everything. When you tent with all Your people, Your glory will shine and Your justice will reign. Sometimes, amid the fears and darkness, Jesus seems like a mirage. When storms buffet our lives, we get scared and don’t trust that he is with us. Teach us to walk on the life-giving waters of Your faithfulness. Empower us to trust the healing and freeing power of Jesus – to surrender our despair, disappointments and darkness into His healing hand. Just your touch or tassel can calm us, Gentle Lord. Help me believe that you are walking with me through the waves and storms of my life today.
