Over 1000 members of our Carmelite family attended the daytime and evening ceremonies of the St. Therese Feast Day on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Shrine of St. Therese in Darien,Illinois. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate and make this a very special day!
Fr. Carl Markelz addressed the morning crowd with an engaging talk about St. Therese's influence on Vatican II and her prescient vision of the church's teachings. Afterwards, Fr. Bernhard led the ceremony of the Blessing of Roses.
