St. Valentine's Day Cards

Dear Friend of the Little Flower,
 

Do you ever wonder if your life is making a difference in other peoples' lives? Sometimes, amid the mundane routine of life, I wonder why God put me here.

Each of us is here for a purpose, by God's loving design. We are created in love - it is the heart of who we are as God's beloved sons and daughters, created in the Divine Image.

St. Therese echoes what the Gospel teaches. She learned that her simplest actions affect others. God was using her to make His Presence felt and His Love tangible. Her message is so powerful and uplifting.

St. Valentine's season is a time to express that love which is often taken for granted.

Our world seems stressed with fear, insecurity, natural disasters, and economic slowdowns. We all need to be reassured that we are loved - to rekindle the joy and inner peace. That is why St. Valentine's Day is a special time. It is an opportunity to sow seeds that help peoples' spirits blossom and smile.

St. Therese encourages us to sow seeds of love - those wonderful expressions of love. She wrote letters. poems, notes, prayer cards, and gave flowers from the garden. She knew who needed a smile, some encouragement, or reassurance. This was and is her "little way."

For this reason, I am offering you our specially designed St. Valentine Card. It is for the special people in your life.

The card tells them that you love them - and that God loves them. It says "You are special to me,"  "You are precious to God," and "You deserve blessings!" The people who receive your prayer-filled Valentine card will be remembered in five Novenas of Masses celebrated by the Carmelites beginning February, 14th.

Thank you for the living Valentine you are!   Thank you for reflecting the Heart of God to so many people by your generosity and prayerful support of the Carmelites.  You are following the "little way" of St. Therese. Your Novena offerings are a blessing for the Carmelites.

I wish you prayerful blessings at the beginning of this new year of grace.  May St. Therese smile on you throughout 2012.
